BBC newsreader Joanna Gosling was visibly upset as she confirmed the deaths of three young boys who had fallen into a frozen lake in the West Midlands.
The children, aged eight, 10, and 11, died after falling into the lake at Babbs Mill Park in Solihull on Sunday afternoon.
Gosling announced the devastating update on Monday where she appeared overcome with emotion and had to stop mid-report to gather herself.‘We’re hearing that three boys, aged 11, 10, and eight have died,’ she then said before having to pause to compose herself.Seeming on the verge of tears, Gosling added: ‘I’m so sorry, this is terrible news obviously.’
‘Props to Joanna Gosling for being unafraid to be human,’ one wrote. ‘Must take a lot for a newsreader to break like that.’
