The Man United midfielder had paid tribute to Beckham after netting his match-winning double against Brentford at the weekend.
David Beckham has responded to Scott McTominay’s admission that his emotions regarding his dramatic double against Brentford on Saturday were inspired by the former Manchester United winger’s new documentary.
Speaking to MUTV, McTominay said: "I can’t put into words what it was like for that second one. It was an out-of-body experience, really. I was watching David Beckham's documentary last night and you see the history and the people behind the club.READ MORE: United told why victory over Brentford won't be turning point
United posted the clip of the interview on Instagram, which prompted a reply from Beckham. The 48-year-old wrote: “It’s what it’s always been about well said.”
