Sinn Féin stops short of calling for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador in Ireland
Belfast Council has called for an arms embargo on all parties in the Israel Palestine conflict, after confirming a decision to light City Hall and demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
At the full council meeting this week the successful Sinn Féin proposal went through a round of amendments. An amendment by Green Councillor Anthony Flynn, that in addition to the Sinn Féin proposition, the council would call for an arms embargo on all parties in the conflict, as well as a return of all hostages, was passed.
