Two arrests have been made
Police received a report that three men had entered a car on Fitzroy Avenue around 10:30pm last night and demanded that the driver take them to a shop on the Ravenhill Road.
"They then assaulted the driver before he managed to exit the car and raise the alarm with staff in a nearby shop. The suspects then made off and two men were located by Police a short time later in the Newtownards Road area of east Belfast. Detective Sergeant Kennedy continued: "Enquiries are ongoing to locate the third suspect. Thankfully the victim did not receive any physical injuries, but is understandably left shaken.
