'They're learning, they're moving, and it's fun.'
, research has found a significant rise in children suffering symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD. Many schools are finding their student support services overstretched, with lockdown highlighting the need for mental health and well-being support in schools.
“We decided to use the Sensory Path as a means of upping growth and fine motor skills, as well as introducing movement at every opportunity," she said. "Many families are not engaging in activities that they used to, like bowling or swimming - so having more opportunities to get the children moving is hugely beneficial.”
"We use it for ‘brain breaks.’ It’s great to see the kids engaging, hopping and stretching along the path. It's like doing a circuit - they love it. We decided to go with Learning Space as Lorraine herself was a teacher, and the expertise we have been shown from her has been invaluable."
