Ben Affleck and James Gunn have been in talks about Affleck directing a DC project.
In the latest instalment, a Twitter chain started by James Gunn shared that… but by the end of the chain, Ben Affleck's name had cropped up.
To clarify, Affleck will not be taking the reins as Clark Kent , but he might be taking up a whole new role behind the camera.When Gunn brought up Superman as being among the first projects to kick off next year, a fan asked whether he would be writing and directing, to which he replied yes to the former, while revealing that a director hadn't been pinned down as of yet.
Another fan chimed in, asking whether Affleck could be set to direct the pre-production movie. Gunn mysteriously responded:"Met with Ben yesterday precisely because he wants to direct and we want him to direct; we just have to find the right project.", but has a strong chance of directing a different project in Gunn and Safran's slate.
