A previous application asking to use the space as a café was refused on the basis of the installation of a cooking flue.Council bosses refused the proposals due to concerns raised about the smell nuisance to residential flats above.Floor plans showed a customer seating area, server area, prep area, staff room and staff toilet.They said the café would have"an unacceptable impact on the amenity" of those living in the flats above.
"Insufficient information" regarding opening hours and waste disposal was also taken into consideration.
