The family of a “multitalented” 14-year-old boy whose body was found in a Hertfordshire lake have paid tribute to him.

Police were called to North Met Lake, off Cadmore Lane, Cheshunt, on Monday to reports of the teenager not resurfacing after going into the water. A police helicopter and specialist divers were involved in efforts to find him, and his body was recovered just before 11pm.His family have released a statement, in which they said: “Lewis was a loving, kind-hearted person loved by everyone who came in contact with him.They continued: “We miss you, but will forever love you.
“We would like to thank our loved ones, our neighbours and all his friends for the love and support shown in these difficult times. We are grateful.” A post mortem has confirmed drowning as the cause of death and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
