EXCLUSIVE Billie Shepherd at home with baby Margot in exclusive first shoot
Billie Shepherd was over the moon to move into her dream home towards the end of last year. And giving OK! VIP exclusive to her Brentwood property, The Family Diaries star poses in her first at-home shoot with three month old daughter Margot and talks us through her busy life as a mum-of-three.
Welcoming us into her incredible five-bedroom Essex mansion, Billie’s children Nelly and Arthur have their school uniforms on and are on their way out the door as her husband Greg escorts them to the car. Meanwhile, the glam squad are working their magic on the mum-of-three, and three-month-old Margot is snoozing soundly.
“It’s nice with the filming that Margot is with me all the time and it’s nice that I can be in the position that I can choose what is right for me at the minute, because juggling work, filming and three kids is hard, where I’m not sleeping a lot,” she explains. “So, it’s managing everything just right.”
One of the most challenging parts has been getting Arthur used to not being the youngest any more. Billie previously admitted he was being slightly “smothering” over her and Margot, so we’re keen to see how that situation is evolving. Another obstacle has been the sleeping arrangements. When they first brought Margot home, Billie slept in the spare room with the baby because it was “easier”.
“Already I feel like that tiny newborn stage has gone,” she says. “That was something I found hard in a way, because you don’t want to miss anything. I love the baby stage and because she is probably going to be my last baby, I don’t want her to get big too [quickly]. Time does go so quickly.” There have been so many positives for the Shepherds in expanding their brood – one of which is seeing Nelly’s relationship with her sister. Horse-riding fanatic Nelly is already talking about the future with Margot at the stables and girlie trips to Starbucks.
It’s refreshing to hear the reality star has such a strong support network around her, after all a life in the public eye isn’t an easy one. Billie has been targeted by the odd mum-shamer on social media in recent weeks. They’ve criticised her decision to buy Nelly a horse and take her baby on a flight. Luckily, Billie has a “thick skin”.
