He has been involved with the English Schools Team for the past year after an registration error meant he could not compete in Ireland. But the youngster was left in limbo when he didn’t register a change in club within the specified time frame. McCann prevailed in the clash in Slovenia, and now progresses to the quarter-finals where he will box for a medal.
