Blackpool Victoria Hospital worker arrested as police investigate sexual assault allegations
Lancashire Police were contacted by Blackpool Victoria Hospital last Tuesday , who reported a number of allegations of sexual assault on staff members had been made to them. Following enquiries, a man was arrested suspicion of sexual assault and is in custody.
The man, a medical professional at the hospital, has been suspended by the health trust. , noting: "We recognise this arrest, and the nature of the allegations, may cause alarm and distress".Det Chief Insp Lee Wilson, of Lancashire Police, said: “We have today arrested a man in connection with a number of serious allegations.
“These are complex and sensitive allegations which we are committed to investigating professionally and thoroughly.
