Bobby Davro admits he's working to distract himself
Bobby Davro has described his fiancée's illness as "horrific" and says he is using his work to "distract" himself from the pain.
In a moving interview with the Daily Star, Bobby, 64, was overcome with emotion as he tearfully explained how the couple were coping.“It’s extremely, extremely, extremely painful," he said. The 64 year old has just completed a run of Easter pantos and is set to perform a stand-up charity gig with his old friend Jim Davidson in Great Yarmouth to raise money for The Caister Lifeboat Appeal.
“I need to see people laughing, and I like that I can still make people laugh while dealing with this. Vicky’s illness is a tragedy, and it’s been a personal and family tragedy until now. But now I hope talking about it can help other people.” A year before Vicky's diagnosis, Bobby was forced to go through similar heartache when his father Bill Nankeville passed away aged 95.
