Officers were called to an area of the White Cart Water near Arran Avenue in the Renfrewshire town shortly before 10am on Monday April 10 after a body was reported in the stream. While it has not been identified, officers say they have informed the family of Mr Reid, 31, who was reported missing on Saturday March 25.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a man was found in the White Cart Water near Arran Avenue in Paisley around 9.55am on Monday, 10 April. He is still to be formally identified but the family of Evan Reid, 31, who had been reported missing on Friday, 25 March have been made aware. Friends and family of the dad-of-one had urged Mr Reid to get in touch after he went missing. Police spoke to over 150 people regarding his disappearance.
