Police have found the body of a man in a Glasgow river as a large area near the Botanic Gardens remains cordoned off.
We previously reported multiple police vehicles on Queen Margaret Drive this afternoon as well as Glasgow Botanic Gardens being taped off. A police van was also spotted at the Kelvin Drive entrance to Kelvin Walkway with officers taping up the gates.The force has now confirmed that sadly, a man's body was discovered in the River Kelvin at around 12.15pm on Thursday, April 13. He has not yet been identified.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following a report received around 12.15pm on Thursday, 13 April 2023, the body of a man was discovered in the water at the River Kelvin in the Great Western Road area of Glasgow.
