The alarm was raised shortly before 2.30pm on Thursday, November 24 when officers were alerted to an incident taking place at the body of water near the city's Tay Street.
It is believed a large emergency response was triggered, which included fire crews and coastguard search and rescue teams who sped to the scene from Dundee and South Queensferry. Sadly, upon arrival, a body was recovered from the river. , nor are the circumstances surrounding their passing.Top news stories today A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.25 pm on Thursday a body was recovered from the River Tay, near Tay Street, Perth.
