Bolton bakery unveils Wallace & Gromit inspired pasty - and, of course, it includes Wensleydale
Bolton-based bakery Carrs Pasties is releasing a new pasty inspired by stop-motion animation duo Wallace & Gromit.
The brand new pasty - named the More Cheese, Ham & Chilli Jam Pasty - is available to buy fresh from Carrs stores in Bolton from today . It will also be available to order nationwide via the Carrs online delivery service.The pasty includes four cheeses – Mature Cheddar, Red Leicester, Wensleydale and Mozzarella - alongside pulled ham and caramelised onion which is all encased in Carrs famous golden puff pastry.
Rachael Peacock, Senior Brand Manager at Aardman, said: “Aardman is delighted to be working with an independent, family run business on this exciting new Carrs pasty flavour. Carrs have four stores in Bolton, including the flagship store on Halliwell Road and the recently-opened branch at Middlebrook Retail Park. There are also stores on Manchester Road and on Corporation Street. Carrs Pasties are also available at convenience stores and petrol stations across the country.
