A book of condolences will be opened at Belfast City Hall in honour of the Queen following her passing.
Tributes have been paid from across the globe to the 96-year-old monarch who has been hailed as "the greatest public servant" and a symbol of peace and reconciliation.Ten days of mourning have now been declared across the UK in her memory. Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Christina Black said: “It is with deep regret that I have learned of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. “I also want to acknowledge the sorrow that will be felt by many people in Belfast and I wish to especially acknowledge the profound sorrow of our neighbours from within the unionist community here who will feel her loss deeply.
