Boris Johnson is reportedly in talks to appear on I'm A Celebrity.
Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been linked with I'm a Celebrity although a spokesperson has flat-out denied the rumours. The Conservative politician could follow in the footsteps of former Health Secretary Matt Hancock who went to the Australian jungle last year.
It's been suggested that talks were taking place, but a source told The Mirror: “He’s not looking likely. The truth is he doesn’t need the cash as much as he did before, thanks to his income from speeches and, of course, he still thinks he’s going to stage some sort of political comeback at some stage.”
A spokesperson has also shot down the rumours, saying: "Boris is not doing this programme and is not in talks to do so.“ In the unlikely event that he did head to the jungle it would come six years after his dad, Stanley Johnson, appeared on the hit ITV show alongside Georgia Toffolo and Jennie McAlpine in 2017.
Earlier this year it emerged that he had received £2.5m as an advance for speeches, and he is thought to have racked up £5m in the six months since leaving office. Others linked with I'm a Celebrity this year include This Morning favourite Josie Gibson and Corrie actor Alan Halsall.
