Blackpool boy left afraid to even hear the name of the violent man who grabbed his mum by the throat
A man who attacked his partner, leaving her so scared she feels she has to move house, has been spared jail.
She told the police they had been arguing and she was standing in front of a door when Bagot ran at her and grabbed her by the neck. She was holding a bottle of milk in her hand and tried to pour it on the floor to make Bagot stop what he was doing."I don't know what happened in that time", she said. "It makes me sick thinking about it to the point I have decided to move house because I can't be there as it reminds me of the incident.
Ms Houghton said she and her son can become upset when there is any reference to abuse on TV and her son struggles when he hears the name Alan, even if it is not referring to Bagot.
