Two boys stabbed after being chased from football pitches by pair armed with knife and machete
Two boys were stabbed after being chased from a football pitch by two others armed with a machete and a knife, police have revealed. GMP hasn't revealed their exact ages but confirmed injuries they suffered in the attack were not 'life-threatening'.
The double stabbing happened at 9pm on Sunday at the crossing of the River Irwell bridge on Hough Walk in Lower Broughton, Salford. They were chased from Peel Park AstroTurf pitches nearby, GMP said.
"Injuries sustained are thankfully not life threatening after treatment and no arrests have been made at this time, but enquiries are continuing."
