The owners of a hair salon on Pollokshaws Road have been left outraged after being targeted by a group of thieves, which included a child, in broad daylight.
A group of four women and young girl can be seen walking down Pollokshaws Road around 6pm on Thursday evening before turning back when they notice items to steal in the door of Baxter Salon.
Staff at the salon were alerted to the theft by a client before seeing the shocking incident play out on camera when they checked back their CCTV. "We had opened the salon door to let some fresh air in because the hair dryers were on and it was really warm. One of the clients saw the group coming in and taking stuff from the shelf and alerted the stylist.
"It's the little girl that I find the most shocking, it's such a shame that she is being brought up to think that stealing is an acceptable thing to do."Since sharing a video of the incident on social media, a number of other businesses have been in touch to say that they have also been targeted by the well known group of shoplifters.Sign up to Glasgow Live's crime and courts newsletter here to receive all the latest crime and court news direct to your inbox.
