BREAKING: Bus passengers injured as police descend on street after reports of shooting - updates

street after two bus passengers were left injured following a reported shooting. A cordon is currently in place on Daventry Road, Kirkholt, with a bus seen inside the police tape.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "At 7pm on Saturday, January 7, officers responded to reports of a suspected firearms incident on Daventry Road, Rochdale. After an initial investigation it is believed damage has been caused to a bus operating in the area with windows being smashed."The cause of the damage is not yet known and detectives are investigating the incident. Thankfully only minor injuries were sustained by two passengers on the bus.
