Football Insider has been told by Kieran Maguire that Brentford boss Matthew Benham will already be 'eyeing up' new takeover opportunities.

Brentford owner Matthew Benham will be ‘eyeing up’ new takeover opportunities after agreeing to sell his stake in FC Midtjyllandabout Benham’s surprise sale of the Danish club., Brentford owner Benham has agreed a deal to sell his majority stake in FC Midtjylland after nine years as their majority shareholder.

Benham bought the club two years after taking over Brentford with the intention of experimenting with new strategies and models in Denmark before implementing them at the London club. Brentford continue to use statistical data to power their transfer business and despite selling FC Midtjylland, they will continue to be supplied data by Smartodds – the gambling company he runs.
