Explore the city's new landmark arts venue, enjoy showstopping performances, and sing along to your favorite acts at Victoria Warehouse and the AO Arena. Don't miss out on the Christmas Markets and other cultural experiences this month!
It's that time of year again when the clocks go back, the nights draw in and our big coats and cosy knits come out of from the back of the wardrobe. Naturally, it's easy to be a little glum about the change in weather, drop in temperature and the shorter days, but the arrival of November and the slow transition into winter doesn't have to be all doom and gloom.

This time the huts will be available at two different sites, so there’s even more opportunities to enjoy a drink, grab a microphone and belt out Mariah Carey with your friends.
The brand new show will feature some of SAW’s biggest hits from the 80s and 90s, although the show itself is set in the present day. Although Kylie won’t feature in the show in person, she will take on a special digitally-created role so fans are in for a treat. But there are some alternatives. Mayfield Park will host an ‘enchanting’ Fireworks and Fire Garden, taking place on Saturday, 4 and Sunday 5 November. It will feature fireworks and hand-crafted fire sculptures, including copper flowers that breathe fire. There will be three sessions across the weekend. Tickets are £8 for kids aged 3-16, and £12 for adults. Keep your eyes peeled for locally-organised firework events too.
Homobloc On November 4 Homobloc will return to Depot Mayfield for its fourth year with an all-star lineup including Mercury Prize-nominated Jessie Ware, Australian electro band Confidence Man, The Blessed Madonna and Romy. The ‘queer block party for all’ promises a night of dancing, music and performances celebrating all things queer.
There is still good availability for mid-week shows and dates throughout January and February. You can find full ticket availability via ATG here. Aviva Studios, the landmark £242m arts and culture centre, and home of Factory International has now officially opened its doors, and as well as Danny Boyle's spectacular, Matrix-inspired dance show 'Free Your Mind', visitors can expect an impressive opening programme called 'The Welcome'.
