Watford striker Joao Pedro agrees club-record Premier League switch
Brighton have agreed a club record fee with Watford for striker Joao Pedro, talkSPORT understands.
The 21-year-old has been with the Hornets since January 2020, but now looks set to move on after two-and-a-half seasons for a fee of around £30million.Pedro, Watford’s top scorer with 11 goals in 35 Championship games this season, is set to formally complete his move once the transfer window opens in June.‘s biggest spend on a transfer to date still stands at £20m for central defender Adam Webster from Championship side Bristol City in August 2019.
But injury to Ireland teenager Ferguson and Welbeck’s withdrawal from the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United has shown there’s certainly room in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad for another target man.
