Pilots on board the BA800 flight from London Heathrow to Iceland issued a 7700 squawk code as they travelled over the Western Isles due to a passenger requiring medical assistance.
A British Airways flight from London Heathrow to Iceland has declared a mid-air medical emergency while travelling over Scotland.
The BA800 flight to Keflavik departed at around 7.25am but was forced to turn around a short time later. The alert was issued as it flew over the Western Isles, with the pilots requesting a priority landing.
