The couple are divorcing after just over a year of marriage.
Speaking for the first time about the split, the Princess of Pop confirmed she and Sam were no longer together and described feeling ‘a little shocked’.
‘I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!! In Sam’s previous statement, also posted to Instagram, he wrote ‘We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each and I wish her the best always.
The divorce documents, which were filed at a court in Los Angeles, state that Asghari intends to obtain financial support from Britney, and have her pay for his lawyers.
