'Honestly can’t bare seeing Christmas stuff in the shops already!'
Although there are 17 weeks still to go until Christmas, it would seem many UK shops are feeling festive already. From B&M Bargains to supermarkets, retailers across the country are starting to stock up on Christmas items - despite it still being August.
On Facebook, Claire Pearce uploaded pictures of Christmas lights, wrapping paper and tags currently on offer in a Home Bargains branch, writing: "I spotted Christmas stuff at home bargains already." Alongside three confused emojis, she added: "OMG." Posting pictures of mince pies in what looks to be a Morrisons supermarket, Karen Beckingham wrote: "Christmas stuff coming out on the shelves already." Last week Ryan Kainec claimed: "I was at Costco over the weekend and they already had Christmas stuff out!!"
Sharing a selfie next to a giant Nutcracker solider statue, Eric Amadio posted: "In a world where it doesn’t seem like we agree on anything anymore, can we agree that it’s too early for Christmas stuff already?" Judy Davis replied: "Yep, to early in my opinion!" Mary Vella-Hibdon added: "I’d like to enjoy Halloween first."
