They'll start next week
Leeds City Council is one of the few councils to provide the collections for free and will deliver the largest garden waste collection by any council in the UK. As part of the service, 29,662 tonnes of garden waste were emptied last year.
Councillor Mohammed Rafique, Leeds City Council’s executive member for environment and housing, said: “The resumption of the free brown bin collection service is welcome news, marking the return of spring to Leeds.
