: After arriving in Los Angeles, he’s throwing more sinkers and fewer change-ups with early success. Through four scoreless appearances, he’s won two games and recorded a save with 10 strikeouts against zero walks over 12.1 innings. Like many relievers, there’s some pending regression towards the mean in his 4.17 SIERA, but his 24.4 K-BB percentage and 0.41 WHIP this month, along with the win or save potential make him a plug and play option for those seeking pitching help down the stretch.
Justin Lawrence : Speaking of a primary save share, just when it seemed like he was amidst a breakout, Lawrence has struggled in recent contests. He’s suffered two losses and three blown saves his last five appearances, converting one save in them. Over his last four innings, he’s allowed 10 hits, 10 runs and a 2.75 WHIP. In the second-half, he’s incurred three losses with five saves in 10 chances, posting a 17:6 K:BB during his 15.1 innings, but the 1.57 WHIP and 15.
