A bungling thief who left traces of himself after going a spate of burglaries has been jailed.
He was also identified at two locations with having a"distinctive" tattoo of the name Rebecca on his body.
Prosecutor Amy Hunter said:"It was noted that Brown left behind a vape and the incident was captured on CCTV."Ms Hunter said:"Owner Ellie Weir noted a number of items had been moved and that the front window had been damaged by a rock.Brown then went on to break into a Tesco petrol station before using a shovel to pry open the till for cash.
A police search recovered clothing worn by Brown in a nearby industrial estate which was found to contain a medical prescription with his name on it.He made off with the float from the till and CCTV again identified Brown by his Rebecca tattoo.
