Inside the lives of the Busted stars following news of a reunion
Forming in 2000, the pop punk trio, consisting of Matt Willis, James Bourne, and Charlie Simpson, went on to sell millions of records and capture the hearts of thousands of youngsters across the country.
Charlie almost suffered a mental breakdown In 2005, it was Charlie who decided to step down from the band after five years together. “I wasn’t going to leave him because he had a problem. I wanted to help him, but he had to help himself and I believed he would,” Emma told The Telegraph. "It was the wrap party and I had a glass of champagne and I was off to the races that night; I turned up at her parent's house at four in the morning like it was nothing off my head."
Matt said he was involved for a little while, but left after claiming they were trying to separate him from his wife. According to the star, it took the family an hour to travel to the nearest hospital, where Jago’s condition deteriorated. In 2010, Matt made his West End debut as Nick in Flashdance: The Musical, and since then has appeared in other shows, like Wicked, Footloose, Waitress, and Little Shop of Horrors.
