Taking to Instagram on Monday night, Busted shared the exciting news, revealing that fans don’t have long to wait at all before hearing the new version of the song.‘This Friday… 🚀 Year 3000 2.0 with our friends @jonasbrothers IS OUT 🚀 Our Greatest Hits 2.0 album will be available to pre order,’ the post began.
‘We are so stoked to be working with so many incredible artists including the Jonas Brothers on this reimagining of all of our original hit songs, and will be releasing a Busted only version alongside it,’ they added in a promise of additional content sure to thrill their fanbase.‘We really cannot wait for this to be in your hands. We’ll share more information regarding the album in the next few days, but in the meantime you can pre save Year 3000 2.
Alongside the announcement, the band shared a little tease of the introduction of the song, sounding nice and fresh, with newly filmed black and white shots and graphics which were intercut with footage of both bands’ from their original music videos. Busted’s James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis are having a bumper anniversary year with re-recordings, a new album and a tour Unsurprisingly, there was a lot of commotion in the comments.
