The café will be closing after Christmas
Gildart Street-based venue Mrs Danvers Café has announced via social media that it will close after Christmas. The café is located in the Port of Liverpool building and is known for serving grazing and buffet platters as well as afternoon teas.
"Adapted the business several times. Barely any orders these last few months. The lease not being renewed and no reserves to move to a new location. I've hit a wall. To say I feel low is a massive understatement. "I have no idea what's next. The next few weeks I will be taking final orders for festive afternoon teas or buffet platters. Huge thank you to everyone that has supported the business and to those that have reached out, especially to those that have more recently been really really kind."
