Nicky Campbell hit out at a twisted Twitter troll after the shocking accusation
Scots broadcaster Nicky Campbell has hit out at a twisted troll who claims the telly veteran is the BBC star accused of paying cash to a teenager in exchange for explicit photos.
In a now-deleted tweet, the user had posted a photograph of Nicky, writing: "This is the BBC host who paid teenager for sexually explicit photos. £35,000 paid for the photos #Disgusting." Nicky then shared a screenshot of a message from the Met Police confirming receipt of a crime report. Other Twitter users banded together to show support for the presenter. TV critic Scott Bryan said: "I’m sorry this has happened. good decision to report this."
