Concerns around Strep A infection are growing after it was reported that at least nine children across the UK died from the invasive bacteria.

Infections caused by Strep A, which is commonly found in the throat and on the skin, include the skin infection impetigo, scarlet fever, and strep throat. While most infections cause relatively mild infections, sometimes it can trigger life-threatening illnesses.The UK Health Security Agency has informed parents to look out for a variety of symptoms when it comes to their children. These can include a sore throat, fever, chills, and muscle aches.
