More than 2,000 bluebells will be planted in a Glasgow park.

The 'carpet' of flowers will be created by children from several West End primary schools and will brighten Victoria Park.

Pupils from Whiteinch Primary, St Paul’s Primary and Scotstoun Primary Schools will be planting more than 2,000 native British bluebell bulbs at a single event. This will take place in the area around the park’s famous ‘Still Game’ bench, on Wednesday, September 20 at 9.30am. The planting has been arranged by Victoria Park Community Trust , a community charity set up to foster grassroots involvement in the development of the park.Trust chair Steve Nelson said “This initiative has many benefits for the community.
