Police hope the woman pictured can help with their inquiries
The woman was travelling on an Avanti service from London Euston to Edinburgh at around 7pm on Friday June, 9, when the incident happened.
Officers say that the victim, who was travelling with her boyfriend, was spat at by the young woman who left the train at Carlisle station.The British Transport Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
