How wonderful to read your leader extolling the virtues of chamber music. Of the entire classical repertoire, chamber music is surely the most rewarding for both players and listeners – rich in composers’ most intimate and treasured works. In normal times, the proximity of the audience to the performers gives chamber music a special energy; the obvious mutual respect and communication between the players really connect with the audience.
