'Chaos' as police scramble to chase DOG running along the M6 for more than an hour
An adventurous husky caused 'chaos' on a busy motorway as officers chased him along the road for more than an hour. Motorway police and National Highways officers scrambled to bring the dog to a halt as he ran along the M6 southbound near Greater Manchester.
North West Motorway Police says the chase went on for an hour-and-a-half near junction 23 at Haydock earlier today . But despite the husky's daring escapade, he was eventually returned safely to his owner. A spokesperson for North West Motorway Police told the Manchester Evening News: "It took about an hour-and-a-half to capture him. He was running along the network southbound at Haydock.

He's been returned safely to his owner, with no injuries to the dog.North West Motorway Police shared an image of the dog taking a much-needed drink of water after his tiresome exploits on the M6. The tweet said he had been 'safely secured and reunited with one thankful owner'.
