Theron, 48, said she was able to quickly shed 30 pounds she gained for 2003's Monster, but after gaining 40 pounds for 2018's Tully she wasn't able to lose the weight even a year afterward.
The 48-year-old Academy Award winner shared in a recent interview withShe explained that it had simply become too difficult to lose the extra weight at her age, even though she was once able to shed dozens of pounds in a short period of time when she was in her 20s.
Slowing metabolism: 'I will never do it again because you can’t take it off,' she explained, citing her 2018 film Tully as a particularly hard experience to move on from 'And he was like,"You’re over 40. Calm down. Your metabolism is not what it was,"' she continued. 'Nobody wants to hear that.' She gave special praise to her stylist Leslie Fremar for finding the ideal outfits for her temporarily curvier figure.
