Very hungry after reading this
I've walked past Tudor Rose Tea Rooms in Port Sunlight so many times and never stepped in but after visiting last weekend, I really wish I'd popped there sooner.
As soon as I stepped in the building I was faced with a remarkable amount of wall signs and memorabilia from Doctor Who to miniature pots of tea. I'd truly never seen anything like it, the quirkiness of the tea room made me even more intrigued to see what the food was like.Whether you're in the mood for a scone and a cuppa, or a hearty sandwich, there's plenty to choose from on the extensive menu.
The toastie was packed up in foil to keep warm and smelt absolutely incredible before I'd even opened it. As soon as I opened the foil I was overcome with the smell of fresh melted cheese with a slight tang of acidic onion - I was in heaven. The caramelised onion was absolutely delicious and really complemented the fresh gooey brie and bacon. It added a kick of flavour without being too overpowering and it was extremely moreish.
