After Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Putin was widely denounced by most countries across the globe. Chelsea enjoyed their best period of success under Abramovich after his purchase of the club in 2003, which amounted to £140m. In total, the Blues have won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, two Champions League titles and two Europa League titles, as well as the Club World Cup, which was won a month before Abramovich departed.
