What happened in Jesse Lee Soffer's last episode?
In the episode, an army veteran had turned to crime, providing lookout for a group trying to rob a pharmacy. In the process, he took a bullet for a pregnant woman. Jay decided to protect the man's reputation, and things unravelled from there.
Breaking into a stash house off the record, Jay ended up in an altercation with a criminal, and ended up stabbing him to death in self-defence. Hailey and Sergeant Hank Voight followed Jay and witnessed what went down, and came up with an alibi to keep him safe. But it was all just one deception on top of another, and Jay admitted that he'd had enough of skirting around the truth – and the law – and needed a new path in life.
