The Chicago Red Stars board of directors has voted to remove Arnim Whisler as chairman and “transition him out of his board seat immediately,” the club announced Whisler will remain owner but will now have as little involvement as the board can dictate.

These include player surveys in 2014 and 2015 in whichplayers called Dames “abusive” and “unprofessional,” a 2018 formal complaint to the USSF which led to an investigation that substantiated many of the complaints and a 2021 series of anonymous Red Stars player interviews in which Dames was called emotionally and verbally abusive.
