From next month, inbound travellers will no longer need to quarantine for five days at a hotel, but Covid infections are continuing to climb

, the country’s healthcare system is overwhelmed by rising infection, and doctors and nurses are reportedly being forced to work while sick.

From 8 January, inbound travellers will no longer need to quarantine. Currently they need to spend five days at a hotel followed by three days at home. Data from Trip.com showed outbound flights bookings were up 254 per cent on Tuesday from the day before.
