The radio presenter said the cancer has been caught early and is 'treatable'
Chris Evans has revealed he has been diagnosed with skin cancer live on his morning radio show.
Announcing the news on Virgin Radio, the broadcaster said the cancer is in its early stages and is treatable. He said: “It is a melanoma. There’s this phrase called a malignant melanoma – you know once you get something, and you find out all about it – that is a redundant phrase because if it is a melanoma it is malignant.Evans said he will undergo treatment for the disease on 14 September.
The 57-year-old running enthusiast joked: “I can’t run for a month afterwards so I’m going to do nothing but run until then. Is that ok?'”
