Your guide to the best restaurants to celebrate the festive season
It's still only August but many of Belfast's best known hotels and restaurants are already getting into the Christmas spirit.
Their Christmas menu is available from Friday, 10th November until Saturday 30th December, with lunch sittings at 12.30, 2 and 3.30 pm, and evening sittings at 6.30, 8 and 9.30pm. The River Rooms Set over three floors on Donegall Quay and overlooking the River Lagan, this bar and restaurant is a popular spot for great food, a fun night out or a private party.
There's a strong emphasis on local produce but also tasty options for vegans and vegetarians too to cater for all dining options. Their chic eatery Taylor & Clay, complete with its open kitchen and meats prepared on a wood-fired grill, has ditched the traditional Christmas fare so you can expect the same high quality grill cooking with none of the festive fuss! They're offering a la carte and special three-course festive menus for lunch and dinner, starting at £42.50.
The Great Room Restaurant can accommodate parties from two to 30 guests and the mouth-watering three course festive menu is sure to appeal to all tastes with lunch from £49.50 while dinner starts at £59.50, available from Friday, 1st December.
