The 2021 champions had enough in hand to see off the Grange and make it two wins from two in Group B
Clann Éireann made it two wins from two in Group B with a hard-fought six-point win at the Grange on Saturday evening.
St Colmcille’s are already without Ethan Rafferty, Andrew O’Hagan and goalkeeper David O’Hagan and can ill-afford another key player to be sidelined. Brendan Rafferty got Grange off the mark after 12 minutes following great work from Justin Kieran and Daire Mallon added a free moments later. A stunning point from Ben Toal followed an excellent effort from Daniel Magee at the other end before Turbitt converted a long-range free.
An exquisite point from Kieran opened the second half and he followed it up with another great score minutes later. The home side were guilty of a few rash shot selections midway through the second half and they suffered a huge blow when goal-scorer Toal was helped off the pitch nursing a knee injury.
