Police in Glasgow have seized a car that had been visiting the city on cloned plates. Officers caught up with the driver on the M8 near Charing Cross and found that he was also disqualified and had no insurance.
Police Scotland have recently launched an initiative to try to root out uninsured drivers. Operation Tutelage involves the sending out of letters to those who show up on the Motor Insurance Database as holding no insurance.
